It is not about isolation or doing everything ourselves. It is about the ability to care for ourselves in a way that does not compormise our beliefs and values. Freedom is something we must always care for and honor. True freedom is something we can only give to ourselves.

Pleasure tends to engage our senses. We see something or someone beautiful and it catches our eye. We smell something delicious and we want to eat it. Someone touches our skin and we yearn to be caressed. Similar to an elixir, pleasure has a seductive quality that can enchant us and lead us into a hypnotic state. This is when we can lose ourselves in momentary exhilaration and follow a path that can lead us into difficulty.
